Presentations

The ICCE International Masterclass was held in Limerick, Ireland on Thursday, 1 September 2005, as part of the ICCE Global Coach Conference and ENSSEE Forum. Appreciation is extended to the National Coaching and Training Centre (NCTC) for helping to organize the event and to SportscoachUK for their financial assistance, to the plenary and workshop presenters and facilitators, to the 45 coach education researchers and practitioners who shared their knowledge and experience and to Penny Crisfield from Apollinaire Consulting for her excellent facilitation.

The purpose of the day was:

  1. For practitioners to help researchers identify priority research needs for coach education.
  2. To forge a closer link between research and coach education programme design and content.
  3. To identify the current status and implications of selected issues in coach education.
  4. To provide an opportunity for international networking, debate and collaboration between researchers and practitioners in order to move forward coach education theory and practice.
