The NSSU Coach Developer Academy is a partnership between ICCE and Nippon Sport Science University in Tokyo. The program helps participants develop leadership skills in facilitation, coach assessment, mentoring and program design, and graduates are certified as an NSSU-ICCE Coach Developer. Due to significant growth in both student recruitment and research activity, Leeds Beckett University are investing in their academic leadership, and as a result are recruiting Professors in Sport Coaching. The university are also recruiting a Research Officer, and three Senior Lecturers in the field of sport coaching.
The Strengthening Coaching with the Objective to Raise Equality (SCORE) project, led by ENGSO, had its kick-off meeting in Stockholm on 16-17 February 2015. The project promotes equal opportunities, namely gender equality in coaching, and focuses on increasing the number of employed and volunteer female coaches at all levels of sport as well as enhancing knowledge on gender equality in coach education.
