Participation, Recreation and Inclusion through Martial Arts Education (PRIME) - Workshop II: 9-10 September 2017, Oxford
The second workshop of the Participation, Recreation and Inclusion through Martial Arts Education (PRIME) project, took place in Oxford on 9-10 September 2017. Ladislav Petrovic and Sergio Lara-Bercial represented the ICCE and led a session on Coaching Frameworks, with an emphasis on the European Sport Coaching Framework.
The first Conference of the iCoachKids project will take place on 3rd November 2017 in Budapest, Hungary. The event will aim to gather feedback from stakeholders informing the development of a European Coaching Children Curriculum.
iCoachKids has published the eagerly awaited Coaching Children Literature Review. The review is a central piece of iCK. It aims to provide the necessary evidence to aid the development of a European Coaching Children Curriculum (ECCC) to guide those developing training opportunities for coaches of children and young people in the European Union and beyond. The review has also provided the foundations for The iCoachKids Pledge
Project iCoachKids are delighted to announce a new cooperation agreement with the National Youth Sport Institute (NYSI) of Singapore to drive the quality of youth sport experiences in the South-East Asian country.
The Erasmus+ co-funded project led by Leeds Beckett University and the ICCE developing FREE educational resources for youth coaches was presented in the Danish coastal city of Aarhus, European Capital of Culture 2017, during the activities of the European Sport Summit 2017.
Expert coach, and the ICCE's own Sergio Lara-Bercial interviewed seventeen of the worlds top gold medal winning coaches to find out their secrets. A free webinar will take place on 18th October to reveal the results.
Research conducted by Leeds Beckett and ICCE researchers Sergio Lara-Bercial, Dr Julian North, Dr A.J. Rankin-Wright and Dr Ladislav Petrovic was showcased at the inaugural Sport Conference of the Estonian Presidency of the European Council focused on ‘The Role of Coaches in Society’ which took place in Tallinn from 12-14th July.
