First Draft of European Sport Coaching Framework Unveiled in Germany

CoachLearn partners have just delivered the second multiplier event of the Erasmus+ project at Trainerakademie, Köln, Germany. The purpose of this milestone event, which took place during 12th-14th October 2016, was to give European stakeholders the opportunity to consult on the first draft of the European Sport Coaching Framework.

International Coaching Degree Standards launched in Köln

After a 12-month process, including two world-wide expert consultations, the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) launched the International Sport Coaching Degree Standards (ICDS) in Köln on 14th October 2016.

Fix-the-Fixing Project represented at ICCE Conference in Cologne, October 2016

On October 12-14, the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) organised an event focusing on current trends in coach education and development. The Conference, which took place in Cologne, Germany at the Trainerakademie of the German Olympic Sports Confederation, located at the campus of the German Sport University, had over 60 international speakers and guests from 17 countries. This highly relevant topic attracted different sport coaching stakeholders including national coaching organisations, coaches associations, NOCs, international federations and national sport organisations.

International Sport Coaching Framework now available in six languages; Arabic translation coming soon

The International Sport Coaching Framework Version 1.2, developed jointly by the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE), the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and Leeds Beckett University (LBU), is now available in Chinese, French, German, Russian, and Spanish. An Arabic translation is forthcoming. The translations of the Framework enable sport organizations from all corners of the globe to more readily implement the document’s guidelines for facilitating the development and certification of coaches.
